Bill Gibson is a master at maximizing small spaces. Over the years, I have helped Bill find properties that he can work his magic on. He buys properties that have been overlooked by buyers who do not have the vision to see what they can become. He transformed this neglected cottage built in 1925 by Victor Gerard, the founder of Woodland Hills into a charming mini-chateau.

Bill loves to cook, so his revamp of the pint-sized kitchen over looking his back garden is nothing short of miraculous. He takes full advantage of clever landscaping using plants to screen out eye sores and to create cozy sitting areas. A drainage easement became a charming creek. Iceberg roses lining the drive, accented by a rail fence, form a beckoning entrance. In the rear patio the alfresco dining area is shaded by a canopy of vines.

The finishing touch to this creation is a balcony off the living room that allows Bill to enjoy evening breezes as he sips wine from his wine cellar and surveys his handiwork.
